Poppies

A cluster of red coral clips (irrgular shaped), dangle off a 0.5" sterling silver hammered looking donut. I made a similar pair for my sister some time ago and this pair is mine....;) Poppies will go very well with red coloured top or even the simple jeans with white t-shirt combo.

Drop of approx. 4cm.

Rings! Rings! Rings!

Lovely rings, made with freshwater pearls.
From left - podwer blue, pearly white and baby pink.

NutriGrain (Box of 6 bars)

Found this on the shelf at a Cold Storage supermarket. Found gold!!!!
This is my favourite NutriGrain bar and I was only able to find it in Australia. So whenever I am in Australia, any parts of Australia, I will stock up. Finally I found this at the Candy Empire store in Singapore but its a little expensive, S$2 for each bar. And its not always available. So I was so sursprised when I saw this last night...my friend told me it can also be found in NTUC...goodness!!!
Even though its only one flavour, original flavour, I'm still glad for it. I had one for breakfast this morning and its as good as ever. I know some people thinks its a little strange to be having chocolate for breakfast but it goes very well with the cereal, a great balance. Yummy!!!

Sharon (Gift)

A birthday gift for a special lady. I hope she will think of me each time she put on this bracelet.

Made up of 5 pieces of flat oval, hand cutted faceted smokey quartz beads. Linked by gold filled wire in a random style. A small tear drop smokey quartz bead completes the bracelet.

Lenght about 16" from end to end.

Fresco (Custom Order)

Fresco, thus named caused the colour reminds me of carefree days spent in Paris, roaming the streets, checking out the little art shops and enjoying a cup of coffee by the roadside cafe.

A pair of nearly identical, reddish-brown, smooth teardrop earrings, measuring about 30mm x 25mm, accompanied by a choir of soothing carnelian moonstone and sparkling peachy Swarovski rondells. It is definitely a "head turner" pair of earrings.

Maya (Custom Order)

Maya is made up of 2 pieces of 30mm x 20mm Nephrite Jade, not identical in colours, since they were actually meant to be used as pendents, that also explains the size, rather huge. But the end result is surprisingly good. I top it off with a cluster of fresh water pearls, arranged in random style. All other accents in non-tarnish silver.

Bye Bye....

Today I sold off my dinning set. It has been with us for 10 years!!!  From Clementi to Hillview....
We bought it from Pennsylvania House furniture shop before it closed down & moved out of Singapore. So I  must say, this is considered a collectors item??!! Anyway this would not fit into the new place (dinning hall is a little small) we are moving into so we decided to let someone else enjoy it. So now we will look for a smaller dinning set, that sits 4 persons, after we have moved in...one item less to move ;)

Garnett

Garnett is made by stringing faceted round garnet beads throught fine non-tarnish artistic wire. The same method as used for Danae, however a totally different feel when you see the finished product.

Danae

Made with faceted carnelian tourmaline, string throught fine non-tarnish artistic wire, with round silver spacer in between to give it that extra spark. Isn't it simple & lovely? Yeah...you got to agree with me ;)

Special Christmas Gift

A lovely, colourful pouch, handmade by a special friend. Mmmm...guess what's it for?

Open it & wow la! It actually holds my beading tools & now it's such a breeze to bring my beading tools with me, everywhere I go ;)

Singapore River Cruise (6 Oct 09)

Before the date, 6 Oct 2009, I have never been on a Singapore River Cruise, a bumboat ride along the Singapore River. I guess many Singaporean would have the same reply when asked if they have been on a bumboat ride along Singapore River - No - likewise for me. Anyway I finally went on one ;)

My office held its 2nd Paper Making & Paper Awareness training in early October & this time round, we went for a bumboat ride (we took the Singapore Flyers the last time) before our dinner. The weather on the evening of 6 Oct 2009 is cool & nice, a great evening to be enjoying this with my colleagues from around our Asia offices.

Here comes our boat...& boat man...

The skyline of the tall office buildings along Shenton Way, with the Merlion, overlooking the Marina Bay.

Another of our iconic building - Esplanade. That's another of the Singapore Cruiser, cruising pass.

And that is the tallest ferris wheel in the world right now, the Singapore Flyers. The colourful structure is actually the floating platform where we hold our yearly National Day celebration, those are the seats.

I supposed these are buildings & structure that we see each time we drive or walk by the Shenton way or Marina Bay area, but looking at them, while seated in a bumboat, the feeling is different. Everyone should try the Singapore River Cruise, its not only meant for trouists, I think everyone should try it if they have the opportunity. Plus its not that expensive, we took the 30mins cruise which is called - The tale of 2 Quays - it highlights our Boat Quay, Clarke Quay and Marina Bay, at S$13 per adult.

I know there is a new cruise being added - New River Experience – The tale of 3 Quays- which highlights our Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Robertson Quay and Marina Bay, at S$18 per adult.

I believe it'll be a romantic experience to take a sunset cruise with the one you love...yeah!

Black Canyon Coffee

I was introduced to Black Canyon Coffee in BKK. Its a coffee joint that is found all over the place, at the BTS station, in shopping malls, in office towers. I fell in love with it almost instantly!!! Guess its an instant attraction. And thereafter, I have to go to the Black Canyon Coffee place each time I visit BKK. They basically serve Thai fusion food & I especially loved their ice blended cappuccino ;)

Black Canyon Coffee opened its 1st restaurant in SGP years ago at Serene Center, it subsequently moved to Katong area & now it has moved again, to Fusionopolis. It is definitely closer to my place, being in the western side of the SGP island. We visited it the other day & spent a lovely afternoon there.

Yummy Tom Yum Kong & Yum Woon Sen (spicy glass noodle seafood salad).
If you can't see the tiny words in the picture below, it simply says - A drink from Paradise...available on Earth -
